Green Chutney Recipe – Coriander Chutney (winter special) is a mix of lots of greens, kicked up by green chilies. Winter special green chutney is actually special. It has more greens added to it. More greens mean more health and more taste.
In this chutney I have used gooseberries (amla), spring onions (hari pyaaz) and green garlic (hara lehsun), spinach (palak) and spring onions also. You can also add some ginger etc. The quantity of green chilies and gooseberry depends on the sourness and hotness of chilies and gooseberries respectively and on your taste. So kindly adjust accordingly.
1. Put the ingredients in a grinder : Put 1 cup coriander, 2 green chilies, 2 spring onions, 4 green garlic, 1/2 cup spinach, and 2 gooseberries in a grinder.
Tips: Spinach ensures a nice green color in the chutney.
2. Grind the ingredients : Grind them using 1 or 2 tbsp water to a smooth paste or a coarse paste (if you like the chutney coarse, as I do)
3. Bon appétit : Serve green chutney with paranthas or pulao.
