It is in March 2020. The whole world is concerned about the outbreak of Coronavirus. The first case was reported in Wuhan, China on 31st December 2019. Never knew 2020 had this in store for us.
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that causes illness ranging from the common cold to more severe problems such as severe acute respiratory syndrome and others. These viruses are transmitted between animals and humans. COVID – 19 has been discovered in 2019 and was not identified in humans prior to this. This virus can cause pneumonia. Antibiotics or antiviral drugs do not work in the case of Coronavirus. A strong immune system can fight this dreadful disease.
These are initial symptoms. Severe ones include difficulty in breathing, pain in the chest, bluish lips or face.
The immune system is our body’s in-built mechanism to fight bacteria, viruses, etc. It works round the clock and protects us from falling ill. It identifies body cells and alien cells and kills the alien cells.
During our day to day life, we can come in contact with a number of bacteria and viruses. It is a robust immune system that saves our body from falling to the prey of those harmful bugs.
It is vital to have a solid immune system. Especially in the present day scenario, when Coronavirus is spreading, it is all the game of a proper immune system. Healthy lifestyle and balanced diet is the answer to the question of how to boost the immune system.

Recently my friend shared this recipe for immune booster powder. I have been using it, giving it to my kids and family. This immunity booster for kids is super easy and simple to make. ¼ of a teaspoon is to be given to kids. It can be given with warm water or can be added to dal or sabji and if you do the latter, skip garam masala in those dishes.
1.This recipe makes little more than ¼ cup of immune boost powder.
2.Dry roast the spices one by one on low flame till aromatic. Start off with ½ tbsp of cumin seeds (jeera).
3.Take out on a plate when done.
4.Next roast ½ tbsp coriander seeds (sabut dhaniya).
5.2 tbsp fennel seeds (saunf) should be dry roasted till aromatic.
6.Dry roast 12-15 green cardamoms (choti elaichi). Take out and let these cool down too.
7.½ tbsp black pepper corns (sabut kali mirch) needs to be dry roasted. Take out on a plate.
8.All the roasted ingredients on the plate should be left to cool down. Once the spices have cooled down, collect the remaining ingredients i.e. ½ tsp cinnamon powder (dal chini), ½ an inch of dry ginger root or ½ tbsp dry ginger powder and 2 tbsp of turmeric powder.
9.Add everything to a grinding jar.
10.Make a fine powder. Sieve the powder.
11.I forgot to add turmeric powder. Therefore adding 2 tbsp turmeric powder.
12.Give ¼ tsp to kids with warm water or add it to their dal or sabji. ½ tsp is to be taken by adults.
13.Stay safe and healthy.
