Thick and creamy yogurt, blended well with mayonnaise and tomato ketchup, seasoned with Italian seasoning, gives a dip very silky, adequately sour, mildly sweet and slightly tangy, goes so well with potato chips, nachos etc, this is yogurt dip. It is summers and yogurt recipes are my favourite. These are super easy and quick to work on. I make this particular dip for my kids when they come back from play, hungry and exhausted. It is very easy to put together this dip. I often serve it with some cucumbers or tomatoes and other not so favourite veggies, but everything disappears and goes in their tiny bellies. It can pep up a bowl of potato chips and nachos in no time.
This is such a simple and quick yogurt dip recipe. It calls for just 3 main ingredients and has 3 steps.
Yogurt (dahi): Generally, the curd set at home is a bit runny, even if not runny, it hasn’t got the consistency required for this dip. Therefore, I prefer to hang the curd for some time or just squeeze out the water and refrigerate for some time.
Mayonnaise: I have used the regular eggless store-bought mayonnaise for this recipe.
Tomato Ketchup: Little tomato ketchup adds a lot of zing to the dip.
We have a lot of Indian dips (chutney) in the blog. Collections of chutney recipes! For example, green chutney recipes, garlic chutney recipes etc. For yogurt recipes, you can check our collection of raita recipes.
Serve it with sliced and seasoned cucumbers for an evening snack.
