Tea with a nice hint of ginger is adrak chai (Ginger Tea Recipe). It is commonly made in Indian households, especially during winters and monsoon. Chai is one of the most common hot beverages in India. It is flavored in many ways. Adrak chai is everyone’s favorite not only because of its taste but it has health benefits too. It also helps in curing cold, cough etc.
Tea is a combination of water, milk, tea leaves, and sugar. Fresh ginger is used to flavor adrak wali chai. The ratio of ingredients is very personal for everyone. In this ginger tea recipe, I am sharing the ratio I use to make adrak wali chai. It gives a perfect flavor of tea which is enriched by ginger. For maximum flavor grate ginger and use it.

1. Put 2 cups of water in a pan. Let it come to a boil.
2. Add 2&½ tsp tea leaves and 4 tsp sugar. Simmer for 2 minutes.
3. Time to flavor it. Add 1-inch grated ginger. Simmer for 1 minute.
4. Finally goes in ½ cup of milk.
5. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
6. Strain adrak wali chai.
