It is basically a combination of salted biscuits and cheese(s). Monaco biscuits are dressed up with some cheese spread and then stuffed with cheese to make a quick snack especially to be liked by kids and anyone who loves cheese. It makes for a great tiffin option especially on the scary days when you miss your alarm, just fix this in no time at all. Monaco sandwiches can also be prepared to settle the hunger pangs.
Biscuits: Any salted biscuits in your kitchen can work for this recipe. Just make sure they are crisp because if you will begin with a soggy biscuit you will definitely end up with a soggy sandwich.
Cheese: I have used a combination of cheese spread and grated processed cheese for the Monaco sandwiches. You can add any other cheese too.
As such we have a whole lot of recipes for kids’ tiffin which takes care of all the dos and don’ts of kids’ tiffin. You can view them here. Another recipe which is very close to this one is the Monaco bites.
Pack these with some easy pinwheel sandwiches and lemon iced tea and go out for a picnic on a Sunday morning.
