What is Masala Cheese Toast?

Crisp toast with a delicious and cheesy topping is Masala Cheese Toast. Onion and boiled potatoes give a nice body to the toast, making it not only more delectable but also more filling. It is a wonderful breakfast or tea time option. Masala cheese toast is something to be liked by the kids as well as by the adults. It can be customized with the vegetable, seasoning, etc of your choice.

Let’s talk about the ingredients for Masala Cheese Toast

Bread: Any bread of your choice can be used. I used white bread but I believe that garlic bread would do more justice to the recipe. Recently I made corn cheese toast, once using white bread and later using garlic bread. Garlic bread enhanced the taste of the toast.

Masala: It is made up of boiled potatoes, onions, capsicum, garlic, Italian seasoning, etc. Initially, the masala is cooked and then few fresh ingredients are added. I have used cucumber and boiled potatoes (boiled potatoes again as they give a binding to the masala). Although I felt cucumber was not very appropriate as the toast is baked and cucumber doesn’t taste good on baking. Here you can use other veggies such as tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, corn and many more.

Cheese: Cheese is topped on the toast and then the toast is baked. Mozzarella or pizza cheese will work the best here.

Seasoning: I have used Italian seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper powder for the recipe. You can also add in some chili flakes, oregano, etc.

Another toast which is a 10 minutes’ recipe is cheese garlic toast. There are other toast recipes too, let me make a collection of the same. You can check out that too shortly.

Hi! I am CA Vini Mehta. A Chartered Accountant by profession, a food blogger by passion! First of all, I would like to thank you for stopping by at Viniscookbook, I hope you have a good time. Here, yo...u will find the recipes which have been tried, at times re-tried in my kitchen and relished on the dining table. I am mother of two kids and the wife of a person with a high and selective taste sense, so basically anything, before finding its place on the blog, has many levels to cross and clear. This journey started a couple of years back. Before that I was making the most usual kind of food. The only experiment used to be asking my mother how to make something new or different☺. Then, one day, I tried a recipe for butter cookies. And they did not get to go in the container as they were over before I could store them. That day I was introduced to the joy of experimenting with recipes. And I loved everything else that followed especially garnishing and photographing food. I am still not well versed with the photography dos and don’ts but I love to experiment and learn, be it photography or cooking. Hope you too enjoy this journey as much as I do☺! Stay healthy, stay tuned!.
