Smoothie is basically a drink that has a base of milk or yogurt or any fruit juice to which puree vegetables or fruits are added. Smoothies can be prepared using a number of vegetables and fruits. Likewise the same can be flavored in a number of ways. Apple cinnamon smoothie, as the name suggests, is a smoothie prepared using milk as the base along with pureed apple and flavored with cinnamon. Further, it has the goodness of oats and also a hint of vanilla. For me, vanilla makes everything better. If there is any particular flavor or ingredient that yours like magic for you, you can use that instead of vanilla. The smoothie has been sweetened with some honey. Since apple has the sweetness of its own, any other sweetener can easily be skipped if you are watching your diet. Apple cinnamon smoothie can be prepared very easily and quickly for a healthy breakfast.
Milk: I have used skimmed milk as the base for this smoothie recipe. You can also use yogurt.
Apples: Good quality and fresh apples should be used to make the apple cinnamon smoothie.
Flavorings: Cinnamon along with vanilla have been used to flavor the smoothie. Both flavors complement each other beautifully.
Oats: A handful of oats are roasted and added while making the apple cinnamon smoothie. It adds more fiber to the smoothie and keeps you full longer.

1 medium-sized apple, peeled, de-seeded and roughly chopped
2 tbsp quick-cooking oats, dry roasted for a couple of minutes
1 cup milk
1 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp cinnamon (dal chini) powder
2-3 drops of vanilla extract
1. This recipe makes a large glass of smoothie.
2. In a blender add 1 apple, 1 cup of milk, 2 tbsp of roasted quick-cooking oats, 1 tbsp of honey, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon (dal chini) powder and 2-3 drops of vanilla extract.
3. Blend everything well.
4. Serve. Bon appetite.
