Crispy corn is very easy and simple to make. The same can be customized in a number of ways. In this recipe, the corns have been fried and tossed with a few spices along with a handful of onion greens to make a perfect snack. Crispy corn can be served as an appetizer or as a snack. It is important to serve it immediately after preparation otherwise crispy corn might get soggy.
Sweet Corn Kernel: I have used the frozen corn readily available in the stores and market to make the crispy corn. It is important that the corns should not be thawed. You can also make this recipe
Corn Flour: Corn flour is coated on the corn kernels before frying the same. It makes the corn crispy. It is very important that the corn kernels are properly coated with cornflour. You can use more or less flour. You can also use a combination of all-purpose flour and cornflour in the same ratio.
Spices: This recipe calls for chaat masala, red chili powder, and salt. You can also use black pepper powder etc.
Spring Onions: For some color and crunch, spring onions have been added. You can also use coriander leaves, mint leaves, etc. Other than these you can use onions, tomatoes, green chilies, etc.
Oil: Oil is required for frying these sweet corn kernels.

Make crispy corn for evening snacks on a weekend.
1.This recipe makes approximately 2 cups of crispy corn.
2.In a pan heat approximately 4 cups of water.
3.Let the water come to a boil.
4.Add 2 cups of frozen corn to it.
5.Add in little salt to taste.
6.Let it boil for 4-5 minutes.
7.Strain the boiled sweet corn kernels.
8.Transfer to a mixing bowl.
9.Add in approximately 3-4 tbsp of corn flour. Make sure the sweet corns kernels are moist when you add corn flour.
10.Also add in little salt.
11.Mix well.
12.If the need be, add in 1-2 tbsp of corn flour more.
13.Make sure the corn kernels are well coated with the corn flour.
14.Heat enough oil for frying. It should be medium hot.
15.Add in a few sweet corn kernels.
16.Fry on low to medium flame for 4-5 minutes.
17.Increase the flame to high.
18.Fry for 2 minutes or till the corns are absolutely crisp.
19.Take out on an absorbent paper. Thereafter transfer to a mixing bowl.
20.Add in 1 tsp chaat masala powder.
21.Add in 1 tsp of red chili powder.
22.Add little salt (as per taste).
23.Add a handful of chopped greens of spring onions.
24.Squeeze in juice of half a lemon.
25.Toss everything well.
26.Serve immediately. Bon appetite!
